Quad Crew Archetypes

I'm sure this is already common knowledge and there is an official name for it, but I felt like making something random about it! I love ensembles of 4 characters and I love writing them since they result in fun dynamics and can neatly be cut into pairs (see my current main works, Frostbite and Operation Energy Crisis). But I also can't help but notice a particular pattern when breaking down the team roles of these ensembles!

So, I've come up with some requirements that land an ensemble in the "Quad Crew Archetype" (I can't think of a better name right now) category.
The following requirements include the characters' personalities and their literal roles in the crew of 4 (even if the characters in question don't have explicit personalities in the narrative).

Requirements of the Quad Crew Archetypes:
  • The Mom - the character who is the caretaker of the entire crew
  • The Attack Dog - the character who is brash, tends to go off on their own, and sometimes acts as the leader or "poster child" of the crew
  • The Hacker - the character who prides themself on knowledge and is usually literally a hacker or mage; is often a silly character or a character who lightens up the mood but not always
  • The Wildcard - the character who is not of a particular archetype, which changes depending on the group; tends to be the most "straightforward" (predictable) character but not always

Ensembles that I can think of (in the order of Mom, Attack Dog, Hacker, and Wildcard), including in my own work:
  • Cowboy Bebop - Jet, Spike, Ed, Faye
  • Bubblegum Crisis - Sylia, Priss, Nene, Linna
  • Dragon Marked For Death (arguably based on gameplay roles) - Warrior, Empress, Witch, Shinobi
  • Operation Energy Crisis - Aigle, Aethon, Strix, Taquin
  • Deep Rock Galactic - Gunner, Scout, Engineer, Driller
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michaelangelo
  • Pac-Man - Inky (blue ghost), Pinky (pink ghost), Clyde (orange ghost), Blinky (red ghost)

I'm curious if you can come up with some more or if you also incidentally write your crews with these archetypes! It's a fun archetype to work with, just funny that it's quite a common pattern. I'm sure ensembles of 3 characters have something similar.
